Alif Ratings (All Episodes)

Umera Ahmed's Alif which was much awaited series failed to impress Tv Audience since its launch. Although a great concept and popular cast didn't work for the serial. The biggest competitor "Mere Pass Tum Ho" of "Alif" was nation's favourite. It was expected that after the end of MPTH, Alif would get audience attention but due to slow storyline, a great series turns out to be a disaster in terms of number. Geo Tv which is the slot leader for Saas-Bahu Sagas like Mohabbat Na Kariyo,Munafiq,Bharosa Pyar Tera and many others failed to received audience love for the unique story. Marketing Strategy was also bad because Saturday slot was empty and audience never expected something new at that slot. Alif failed to get numbers but received a lot of appreciation on digital platform. Hamza Ali Abbasi, Sajal Ali, Kubra Khan, Ahsan Khan and others did justice to their characters but Manzar Sehbai performance was outstanding. The second last Episode recieved the highest TRP of 6.7.

    The reason for the low rating is given in drama only. People love to watch typical craps like MPH. When it comes to a thought-provoking show like Alif, they intentionally avoid it as it triggers the true side sometimes. Kudos to the audience for ruining the ratings. Alif is an absolute gem.
